About KWA-Dalizu Foudation
The Foundation, a 501 (C)(3) Organization, has a nine-member board of directors located in Huntsville. The board is comprised of 5 Kenyan citizens and 4 American’s with a passion and dedication to advancing the foundations core mission.

The foundations mission is to uplift disadvantaged communities through education.

Goals is to establish a school in a rural underserved village in Soy, Kenya to further educational opportunities for preschool through 9th grade.

The foundation purchased 4 acres in 2017 to establish the school. Since 2017 the foundation and its board members have initiated construction of the main classroom building, administration building, Dining hall/kitchen, playground, and renovations and upgrade of older buildings on the property. An onsite garden has been established to support staff and students.

Future projects include an 80,000-gallon underground water tank, water filtration system, expansion of classrooms and onsite housing for teachers. Plans for a solar power system to support the compound is also under development.

These facilities are roughly 50% complete and will support up to 250 people daily.

Playground Construction

Construction for the playground has finally started.

K-6th Grade Tuition

Requesting Sponsors for K-6th Students Tuition for $300/year. This includes breakfast/lunch, covers facility operations, teachers, and education materials.

Teacher Sponsorships

The academy currently has 9 full time teachers supporting over 160 children. The academy at full capacity can handle 200+. Looking for sponsors to support teachers salary $3,000 - $4,000/ year.

Future transportation

Currently, staff and students are on their own for transportation to the academy. We have future plans to add a bus to facilitate safe travel for students and also allow opportunities for field trips.

Expansion into highschool grades

We hope that once the infrastructure is complete and with additional staff members that we can expand our educational coverage to 9th -12th grades.
